Fall Festival

It’s with regret that we announce the cancellation of our 2016 Fall Fling. We appreciate everyone who signed up to participate and gave of your time to support this event. If you’re looking for something fun and family-friendly to do on October 22, we encourage everyone check out Bramlett Elementary School‘s Fall Festival. It’s sure to be a great time!

UPDATE: The BES PTO has made us a special offer!! They are going to honor their $15 wristband pre-sale fee at the door on the day of their Fall Festival for all AES parents and students. Just tell the cashier you are from Auburn Elementary and the deal is yours. We thank you BES PTO!!

Grandparents’ Breakfast

Tomorrow morning kicks off our week of Grandparents’ Breakfast. We welcome anyone who is GRAND in your child’s life to have breakfast from 7:55-8:30 am. Please be sure to check out the Book Fair afterwards!

Book Fair

The Fall Book Fair begins TOMORROW! Click HERE for a class schedule. Parents and Grandparents are welcome to stop by during special OPEN SHOPPING hours (8:00-9:00 AM) on September 20-23.

All proceeds will be used to buy books for the AES media center.

Character Counts Week

Auburn Elementary School is celebrating Character Counts Week by educating students about the core values of good character. Each day there will be an activity dedicated specifically to this important week. Below is a list of the week’s activities.

  • Friday, August 26: Wear Blue Day! Students wear a BLUE shirt to represent Trustworthiness. Think “true blue”!
  • Monday, August 29: Wear Yellow Day! Students wear a YELLOW shirt to represent Respect. Think “the golden rule”!
  • Tuesday, August 30: Wear Green Day! Students wear a GREEN shirt to represent Responsibility. Think of being responsible for a garden!
  • Wednesday, August 31: Wear Orange Day! Students wear an ORANGE shirt to represent Fairness. Think of dividing an orange into equal sections to share fairly with friends!
  • Thursday, September 1: Wear Purple Day! Students wear a PURPLE shirt to represent Citizenship. Think regal purple as representing the state!
  • Friday, September 2: Wear Red Day! Students wear a RED shirt to represent Caring. Think of a heart!

APTT Meetings

APTT Meetings start tomorrow with First Grade!

Here’s the schedule:

  • August 23 – First Grade
  • August 25 – Fifth Grade
  • August 29 – Kindergarten
  • September 1 – Second Grade
  • September 7 – Third Grade
  • September 8 – Fourth Grade

All meetings are from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.

To take advantage of the free childcare service, please arrive by 5:45 pm to sign your children in. If needed, transportation will be provided from Streetwise, the Auburn Library, and Midway Church. Dinner will also be provided. Parents and guardians… You do not want to miss this opportunity!!

Prizes will be awarded to the classes with the highest percentage of parent/guardians attending.
